Social Media Management

Other Services We Provide: TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Management, and Photography

SINCE APRIL 2023

Monica Bonakdar, MD, has what is arguably the most coveted distinction that any healthcare provider could have. The numbers. From nearly 100K Instagram followers to the hundreds of positive online reviews and before and after photos that wholly encapsulate her talent, Dr. B is developing a true legacy for herself within the aesthetics industry.

However, something that our clients are often shocked to discover is that “The Numbers” hold virtually no weight against genuine, authentic connections! In fact, Dr. Bonakdar didn’t approach the MeyCo team to bump her follower count to the millions—she enlisted our expertise to help better represent her business on social media.

We started working with Dr. B in April 2023, when it was mainly her and her receptionist running the @MonicaBonakdar.MD Instagram page. While possible, this can be a taxing responsibility as it shifts your focus away from building strong relationships with your patients or delivering their desired outcomes. So, our social media team sat down to devise a new marketing strategy that would help Dr. Bonakdar showcase who she and her business were, as well as establish an active community of followers.

In order to capture her audience’s interest and encourage them to comment, share, and all that other good stuff, a more “intensive” posting schedule of 6 days per week with up to 3 stories per post was best. We created content that would simultaneously appeal to a range of patients while also demonstrating that Dr. B was a knowledgeable, experienced provider they could trust. Some of our top-performing posts? Answering patient FAQs, treatment videos, and patient transformations!

By December 2023, Bonakdar Aesthetics saw an average increase of about 2,000 likes in a cumulative eight-month period. Their average comments tripled

too! With more patients regularly interacting with Dr. Bonakdar’s new content, her social media account gradually saw more impressions, higher reach, and increased profile views as well. She even gained recognition from Allergan Aesthetics, who selected HER to join their handful of U.S. trainers for Allergan Medical Institute. This was a huge milestone in her career, one that we couldn’t have been happier to celebrate. It just goes to show that quality content can make far more of an impact than your quantity of followers.

The takeaway: Followers aren’t a true metric of social media success these days. In fact, the MeyCo team is seeing more power in shares and saves than almost any other action. When a current patient finds your content relatable or informative enough to share with someone else, or when you participate in the latest trend, that quality content that you (or your social media team) creates can accelerate business growth and discoverability.

As part of her social strategy, Dr. B has also tapped into the not yet saturated market of YouTube Shorts. If the looming ban on TikTok gets the green light, over 150 million American users will be turning to other platforms to satisfy their short-form fix. Some of Dr. B’s content on Shorts has garnered over 53,000 views!
